Kodak Black is in a different space on “Time To Be Free.”

Fresh off receiving bond in his recent Florida case, Kodak returned with a new visual that feels more reflective than reckless, giving fans a glimpse into a calmer, more self-aware side of the Florida rapper. The song originally appeared on his 2025 project Just Getting Started, but the release of the video only hours ago immediately pulled attention back to the record.

And honestly, the timing says a lot by itself.

Instead of leaning fully into chaos or street talk, Kodak spends much of the song talking about growth, pressure, gratitude, and trying to find balance while carrying personal burdens. Lines about “another chance in life” and “finding new purpose” hit differently considering everything surrounding him lately.

The visual keeps that same energy throughout.

Kodak appears more relaxed than fans are used to seeing, smiling through scenes that feel lighter and more peaceful than some of his darker recent moments publicly. There’s still jewelry, style, and Kodak’s signature presence, and a lovely lady, but the overall mood feels centered around appreciation, freedom and fighting demons more than anything else.

And for longtime supporters, that may be the most important part. Check it out below.
