Trapland Pat Seeks to Educate the Masses with ‘Professor Trap’ Mixtape

Professor Trap is more than just a mixtape – the 15-track crash course offers some of the best lessons that the Broward County baller has learned in his lifetime. What I enjoy most about Pat’s music is his knack for lacing in wise words while flexing on his haters with unwavering charisma and conversational flow – cue the melodic “Top Floor,” which finds him spitting bars that I could see on one of those motivational Instagram posts that pop up on your explore page. The tape is home to standout singles like “Backstreet” ft. Luh Tyler, the mafioso-inspired “Z Land,” and “Big Business (Remix),” which adds a verse from Rick Ross to Pat’s 2021 breakout banger.

Professor Trap is the anticipated follow up to Trapnificent, Pat’s 2022 acclaimed project and Alamo Records debut. Trapnificent earned praise from Pitchfork, who called the project a “zippy distillation of his regional roots” and said that Pat’s music is “extremely regionally and culturally specific, like so much exciting and promising new rap music.” With fresh heaters and an upcoming performance at Rolling Loud Miami in July, Trapland Pat has an exciting summer semester ahead!
