Too $hort, E-40 & Tyga Bring West Coast Party Energy to “Drink & Smoke”

Too $hort is back outside with another West Coast link-up, this time bringing E-40 and Tyga along for the ride on “Drink & Smoke.”

Produced by Lil Jon and Slade Da Monsta, the record feels like a cross-generational function built for speakers, parties, and summer playlists.

Too $hort and E-40 have decades of history together dating back to classics like “Rapper’s Ball,” while Tyga adds a newer Los Angeles energy that keeps the record from sounding stuck in the past. The beat itself leans fully into that bass-heavy club sound Lil Jon helped turn into a movement in the early 2000s. Loud drums, bounce, and pure function music from beginning to end.

The release also serves as the first single from Too $hort’s upcoming album Sir Too $hort Vol. 2, arriving right around the same time the rap legend celebrated both his 60th birthday and the 20th anniversary of “Blow the Whistle.”
