Teyana Taylor didn’t just throw a party. She built a whole world.
Ahead of the Met Gala, the Harlem creative brought back her “Dirty Rose” experience, transforming Paradise Club inside The Times Square EDITION into something between a burlesque show, fashion spectacle, and late-night fever dream.
Phones were locked up at the door, forcing a room full of A-listers to actually be present. And they showed up. From Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson to the Williams sisters, the space filled quickly, but once the show started, all eyes were on Taylor.
The night unfolded like controlled chaos. Hosted by Niecy Nash, the show blended everything: dance, storytelling, fashion, and straight-up performance art. One minute it’s burlesque, the next it’s ballet, then aerial acts, then something you probably can’t describe without getting flagged. And right in the middle of it all was Taylor.

She moved in and out of character, leading the entire experience like she built it from scratch, because she did! “Dirty Rose” isn’t just a name, it’s her vision, layered with Harlem influence and a nod to Tupac Shakur’s The Rose That Grew From Concrete.
Then came the moment.. When Kanye West’s “Fade” dropped, Taylor hit that routine, and the room lost it. No phones, no recordings. Just one of those “you had to be there” moments. Don’t remember? Here’s a little reminder.
By the time it wrapped around 1:30 AM, guests were still locked in, cocktails in hand, chicken and fries making rounds (courtesy of Canes), and no real rush to leave. Because this wasn’t just a pre-party. It was the event before the event, and surely, one to remember.
