As consumers continue searching for more affordable and flexible wireless options, TextNow is taking another step toward redefining the mobile experience. The company has officially announced a new partnership with iHeartRadio that allows eligible users to stream music, podcasts, and live radio without using paid data through TextNow’s Free Flex Plan.
The partnership marks TextNow’s first major content integration and expands the company’s vision of providing users with more value while reducing the costs traditionally associated with mobile service.
Through the integration, Free Flex customers can access iHeartRadio’s extensive catalog of content, including thousands of live radio stations, personalized music stations, playlists, and podcasts, all while preserving their paid data for other activities.
The move comes as more consumers seek alternatives to traditional wireless plans that often require long-term commitments and fixed monthly costs. TextNow has positioned itself as a company focused on giving users greater control over how they stay connected by allowing customers to activate data when needed and scale their usage based on lifestyle and budget.
The addition of iHeartRadio builds on TextNow’s recent rollout of eSIM technology and flexible data options, making it easier for customers to activate service directly from the app and immediately begin accessing included content.
According to TextNow CEO Derek Ting, the partnership reflects the company’s larger mission of modernizing wireless service and moving away from outdated pricing models.
“People don’t want their phone service locked into one rigid model anymore,” Ting said while discussing the company’s vision for creating a more customizable and accessible mobile experience.
For iHeartRadio, the partnership creates another pathway to reach listeners wherever they consume content. The platform continues expanding its presence across devices and services, making audio entertainment more accessible to audiences nationwide.
The collaboration also signals a broader trend within the wireless industry as providers look beyond traditional connectivity and begin integrating entertainment, media, and lifestyle services directly into their offerings.
With the iHeartRadio integration now available to eligible Free Flex customers, TextNow continues positioning itself as a company focused on providing connectivity, flexibility, and access without requiring consumers to commit to expensive wireless plans.
