While he wasn’t able to attend the official New York premiere, Sterling K. Brown still made his presence felt with an exclusive, intimate screening of Is God Is, offering a deeper look into one of the season’s most anticipated releases.

Hosted at NeueHouse and presented by Vibes & Views, the special event brought together Brown alongside writer-director Aleshea Harris for a live conversation moderated by Chris Witherspoon. The discussion gave attendees insight into the film’s creative direction, storytelling, and the powerful themes driving the project.

Is God Is blends elements of a western-style revenge story with emotionally charged family dynamics, following two sisters navigating a complicated past that pushes them to their limits. Adapted from Harris’ award-winning stage play, the film carries a bold, theatrical edge while translating its intensity to the big screen.
