Reneé Rapp Joins Forces With Megan Thee Stallion For Mean Girls Collab “Not My Fault”

Megan Thee Stallion and singer Reneé Rapp are infusing the Mean Girls universe with their vibrant energy through their collaboration on “Not My Fault,” a featured track in the upcoming musical remake of the beloved teen comedy. Drawing inspiration from Lindsay Lohan‘s iconic character, Cady Heron, the song showcases the playful exchange of verses between the two artists, radiating confidence as they embody the essence of boss babes with control over their world.

Rapp’s chorus encapsulates the lively exchange, singing, “It’s not my fault, You came with her but she might leave with me/ It’s not my fault, You’ve gotta pay for what I get for free/ It’s not my fault, You’re like, you’re like, you’re like in love with me.” Megan, boldly referring to herself as “the Black Regina George,” pays homage to Rachel McAdams‘ character with her distinctive style. Rapp is set to portray George in the upcoming film adaptation.

The collaboration, teased by Megan in a December 2023 Instagram video, promises fans an exciting blend of Hot Girl Energy and the irresistible charm of Mean Girls. The 2024 Mean Girls cast includes Auli’i Cravalho, Angourie Rice, Christopher Briney, and Jaquel Spivey. The Broadway adaptation features the return of writer Tina Fey and Tim Meadows, joined by a star-studded cast including Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Mahi Alam, Bebe Wood, Ashley Park, Connor Ratliff, and Jon Hamm.

Mean Girls is set to hit theaters on January 12, offering fans a fresh take on the beloved classic with an infusion of musical brilliance.
