A new posthumous book honoring the life, faith, and legacy of DMX is officially on the way.
Titled The Gospel According to DMX, the upcoming release is scheduled to arrive November 17, 2026 through Simon & Schuster. The authorized collection is being released in partnership with the Estate of Earl “DMX” Simmons and will feature a foreword written by legendary rapper Rakim.
According to the official description, the book will include DMX’s personal prayers, handwritten reflections, journal entries, and spiritual writings collected throughout different periods of his life. Many of the writings were reportedly found on napkins, receipts, notebooks, and hotel stationery, giving fans a raw and intimate look into the rapper’s deeply spiritual mindset away from the spotlight.
The hardcover release is also designed intentionally.
Simon & Schuster describes the book as featuring a Bible-inspired presentation complete with faux-leather binding, gold foil detailing, and archival imagery connected to DMX’s life and career.
While DMX became globally known for his aggressive delivery, emotional storytelling, and street anthems, longtime fans also remember how openly he spoke about God, prayer, pain, addiction, and redemption throughout both his music and public life.
Fans interested in purchasing the book can already preorder The Gospel According to DMX now through Simon & Schuster’s official page here, which also links directly to multiple major retailers carrying the release.
For many supporters, the release may ultimately become one of the most revealing looks yet at the amazing man of God behind the music.
