Fresh off of her viral rap battle heard on ‘The Take Over Files’ over the legendary “Roman’s Revenge” instrumental (which garnered millions of combined views across X, YouTube and TikTok), Philly’s newest rap phenom, Dejhha, has released her latest single “Us.” The newest addition to her catalog continues Dejhha’s display of fiery bars, explosive punchlines, and no-holds-barred delivery. “Us” comes on the heels of Dejhha’s previous releases “Dej’s Story” and “Too Easy (Freestyle).”
Though she may be young, Dejhha is as mighty as they come. Coming from a family of singers and two brothers who rap, Dejhha already had music all around her. While artists like Mary J. Blige and Michael Jackson filled her home, she went ahead and did her own research on rappers like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown, and fellow Philly native Eve. These all became the architects of her craft. “I started realizing that I could do different things with my music,” she explains. “I was always writing sad stuff about what I was going through, but I would see how the other artists made songs about so many different things. So I started trying new stuff, and I actually liked it.” Needless to say, she’s been able to channel that energy into creating a sound all her own.
