The United Center has officially canceled NBA YoungBoy’s upcoming “Make America Slime Again (MASA) Tour” stop in Chicago. The show, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, was abruptly pulled, with the venue releasing only a brief three-sentence statement.
“The United Center has made the decision to cancel the NBA YoungBoy show scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 in Chicago,” the statement read. “If you purchased through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically. If you purchased from a third-party reseller, please reach out to your point of purchase.” No further explanation was provided.
The Baton Rouge rapper, born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is currently in the middle of his 27-city MASA Tour. While the venue did not cite a reason for the cancellation, the move has reignited conversation around YoungBoy’s long-running feud with Chicago rappers Lil Durk and the late King Von.
The tension dates back to 2020, when King Von was fatally shot outside an Atlanta nightclub during a fight involving affiliates of YoungBoy’s camp. In the years since, the fallout has played out publicly through diss tracks, social media exchanges, and even legal battles.
For fans, the cancellation is another reminder of how real-life conflicts continue to bleed into the industry, cutting short one of the most anticipated tour stops. Refunds are currently being processed through Ticketmaster.
