JAE MURPHY HONORS NEW ORLEANS WITH NEW SINGLE “STOP CRYIN” FEATURING VICKEELO AND HASIZZLE

An Ode to NOLA, Bounce Culture, and More 20 Years After Hurricane Katrina

Acclaimed DJ and producer Jae Murphy, in partnership with Create Music Group, releases his highly anticipated new single, “Stop Cryin,” featuring popular New Orleans bounce rapper Vickeelo and bounce music legend Hasizzle. The track serves as both a celebration and a tribute, what Murphy calls “a gift to the city of New Orleans” marking the 20-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with a powerful homage to the region’s unbreakable spirit.

“Stop Cryin” embodies the unmistakable energy of New Orleans bounce, laced with kinetic drums, call-and-response hooks, and that undeniable hometown flavor. Recorded in the same iconic studio where Lil Wayne crafted Tha Carter I, every element of the record, from the engineers and producers, to the videographers and creatives who brought the visuals to life, was sourced directly from the city, making the project a love letter to NOLA’s culture and people.

Adding even more authenticity is the electric presence of Vickeelo, who continues to carry bounce to the mainstream following her high profile feature on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Ride or Die.” Hasizzle, a bounce pioneer and close friend of Murphy’s, brings raw energy and cultural credibility to the single, which also nods to nostalgia with a familiar interpolation reminiscent of TLC’s classic “Creep.”

“This record is New Orleans,” says Murphy. “From the sound, to the visuals, to the people behind it — we wanted to shine a light on the culture that made us. This is a celebration of resilience, joy, and what bounce music means to the world.”

The single dropped hot on the heels of a star-studded release party Wednesday night at LAVO Los Angeles, powered by Crown Royal.  Jae Murphy took to social media to thank the city for coming out in support of his latest single that brought out celebrities, industry tastemakers, artists and athletes in celebration of Murphy’s latest heat. Notable guests like Ty Dolla $ign, Leon Thomas, Eric Bellinger, King Combs, Guapdad 4000, Jozzy, Nitrane, AD, Grammy-winning producer Derrick Milano, and NBA stars Kenyon Martin Jr. and Terrence Mann all pulled up to show love.
