Fresh off his viral OTR freestyle, Iman Nunez uses his newest single, “Get Off My Back,” to confront the doubters as he traverses life as a music artist. He starts the first scene of the video in a park, rapping, “The thing is, they don’t like confrontation. They just look for problems, so their life could be somewhat relative, something to talk about with the people they want to impress…” The opening verse covers how Iman feels like he needs to be more reserved rather than giving people his all and not feeling welcomed by them.
The video then transitions to Iman Nunez rapping in the city about being done with complacency and losing friends in his pursuit of music. He acknowledges how “these demons come with luxuries” as the darker parts of his journey come along with the finer things in his life. Iman continues the second scene, rapping about his tolerance through the ups and downs of the journey and having doubters around him.
He then closes the video at a merry-go-round and says, “F***k the congratulations. I remember everything they said back when we were working out of Chris’s basement. I bet it’s funny how we stuck it out while they was hating. Forever doubting those that reach for greatness…” The song was produced by Haysuse & N-I-N-E. “Get Off My Back” is the final track from his latest album, Phases: Vol 2, presented by On The Radar.
