Detroit’s cultural legacy is getting a powerful new platform. Jalen Rose has joined forces with Tom Gores to launch Same Page Entertainment, a Detroit-based multimedia production company set to roll out its first slate of projects in 2026.
The partnership brings together two Michigan natives with deep roots in the state—Rose, a Detroit native and University of Michigan alum, and Gores, a Flint native and Michigan State graduate—united by a shared mission to elevate stories that foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Built on a “By Detroit, For the World” philosophy, Same Page Entertainment will develop premium scripted and unscripted film, television, and podcast content spotlighting the city’s rich history, culture, and creative voices.
Gores, Chairman and Founder of Platinum Equity and owner of the Detroit Pistons, has long supported Detroit-based community initiatives, including Rose’s Jalen Rose Leadership Academy. Their new venture marks a natural extension of their philanthropic collaboration into the entertainment space.
Early projects in development include a television drama titled South West High, a feature documentary, a narrative film, and Rose’s return to podcasting, which will be produced at Same Page’s new downtown Detroit studio. The company is also developing a documentary centered on the legendary McDonald’s All American Games.
With Rose’s decades of experience in media and storytelling and Gores’ global business expertise, Same Page Entertainment aims to create jobs, cultivate talent, and build a creative hub rooted firmly in Michigan. As Rose steps into what he calls his “ownership era,” the company represents both a homecoming and a forward-looking investment in Detroit’s next generation of storytellers.
