In a powerful push to inspire voter participation, several hip-hop heavyweights have come together for a new song, “Still Here,” released on National Voter Registration Day. The track, which features rap legends Freeway, Jay Electronica, Black Thought of The Roots, and more, is part of a broader cultural initiative called Vote or Else. Spearheaded by Marvin Bing and Pastor Mike McBride, the movement aims to use music to drive voters to the polls.
The track “Still Here” also includes contributions from Jokata Eaddy and Metal Feet, blending lyrical power with a mission to inspire civic engagement. Produced by Stojakavic, the song delivers a strong, inspirational message about resilience, unity, and the importance of voting.
“Still Here” is the first single from Vote or Else’s upcoming project, Or Else, an EP that brings together musicians, cultural influencers, activists, and community leaders. The goal? To remind people that their voices matter and to push them to make an impact through voting. The project serves as a reminder that hip-hop has long been a voice for change, and this collaboration takes that legacy to new heights.
With voter turnout being crucial in upcoming elections, “Still Here” isn’t just a song—it’s a call to action for the hip-hop community and beyond.
