Through high school and beyond, now 19, Rando Rexx has let his Christian faith and deep love of Hip Hop guide him, drawing influence from legends across genres, from Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder to Lil Baby and Lil Wayne. His drive reflects not only bold personal ambition but also the early roots of a musical legacy passed down through generations.
On one side, his mother, Avé, comes from a long line of musically inclined relatives, using music as a vessel for expression, positivity, and encouragement. On the other, his father, Luvonachek, passed along his rapping prowess, giving Rexx a figure to admire and learn from. Blending these influences, he honors both lineages while forging a style that’s entirely his own. - What first made you fall in love with hip hop?
My dad is a rapper.. I always got love/support when I freestyled in school.
- How have your dad’s rap skills and your mom’s musical background shaped your sound?
I think I have a blend of his rapping and her singing.
- You pull from artists across different genres. How do you make those influences your own?
I use what sounds influenced me and I go with whatever sounds/feels right to me .
- Even with “Firecracker” leaning pop, do you still think like a rapper when you’re creating?
I don’t believe there’s a difference in the way I create different types of songs I make(it’s all the same).
- You’ve been making music since middle school. When did you feel your skills really grow?
Middle school( when the lockdown first started, I was in the house all day, and all I did was record music.
- How has being legally blind shaped your focus and drive?
It makes music that much more important to me.
- Was it hard stepping outside your usual hip hop style?
It wasn’t “hard,” but it doesn’t feel as natural as hip hop.
- Lines like “If only I listened” show growth. How important is honesty in your music?
Depends on the song. If the song is personal, then honesty is everything.
- What do you hope hip hop fans take away from a track like “Firecracker”?
I’m an artist who wants to evolve and try different things to see how it works for me.

I’m dropping a New EP soon.
