Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg Take Their Platform to YouTube After 13 Years on Radio

The Ebro, Laura, Rosenberg Show, starring Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg, has officially continued on YouTube following the end of the show’s 13-year run on HOT 97, which concluded on December 12th.

The first YouTube episode opened with Ebro and Rosenberg thanking their fans, supporters, and the New York City media community for riding with them throughout the years. The duo reassured listeners that they’re in good spirits, noting that Ebro has worked with Apple for over a decade, while Rosenberg continues to expand across multiple ventures.

Ebro shared that he stayed in radio for as long as he did because he believed the show was providing a real service to New York City. He reflected on using the platform to speak with politicians throughout his career, adding that “talking about politics and having an opinion on politics in a corporate-run media entity is always risky.”

Rosenberg made it clear that he would never speak negatively about HOT 97, calling the station a permanent part of his career DNA and expressing deep gratitude for his time there.

Laura Stylez, the show’s third co-host, also tapped in during the episode despite being away on her annual holiday trip, joining the conversation to show support and connect with listeners during this transition.

The trio discussed reactions to the show’s ending from high-profile figures, including Drake and Akademiks. Drake commented an axe emoji under Ebro’s Instagram post announcing the show’s conclusion, which led Ebro to share a recent DM exchange between the two.

According to Ebro, at 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Drake messaged him, “Die slower pussy. We got some shit for you.” Ebro replied, “Relax. You’re salty about losing to Kendrick. You’re not mad at me. Love bro.”

Before revealing those messages, Ebro showed an earlier DM exchange from 2020, where the two shared mutual respect, Ebro expressing pride in Drake, and Drake thanking him for the support. Rosenberg joked that if he were Ebro, he’d be considering a lawsuit.

The episode also touched on major headlines from the weekend, along with sports and entertainment news, as the team eased into this next chapter.
