DeLaney Daniels – BREAKING THE ‘NORMS’ IN MUSIC.

Singer DeLaney Daniels is becoming a power house performer amongst the who’s who of the southern entertainment scene. Hailing from Buffalo, New York the singer relocated to the music capital of Atlanta, Georgia to accomplish bigger opportunities in her music career. Since landing in the peach state, DeLaney has rubbed elbows with several of the who’s who in the music industry including mega producer Drumma Boy, who immediately gravitated to her unique style of singing. She has also been a headlining artist on the Live with Carisha Show, A3C Festival, Swamp Izzo Artist Showcase and more. DeLaney is an artist who will break barriers into legendary status due in part to her power-house vocals. Her latest single ‘Old Me’ is gaining the artist positive reviews and building the anticipation for her debut project ‘A Long Time Coming’ dropping later this year. The single also charted in the R&B top 10 on iTunes over the summer.

Check out the Q&A below with DeLaney below..

  1. So you claim alternative music as your genre of music and do you want to create in any other genres? I personally don’t claim a genre , what people hear in their own tune of me and where they put me is acceptable for me. Music is Music to me. Whatever I feel is what I write and what I sing. If I wake up and I’m feeling country then that’s what I’ll touch if it’s Gods will.
  2. Mentally before you perform what goes through your head and are you ever nervous? What goes through my head is pleasing & relating to the crowd. I sing for them and for me. I know what I’m singing is aesthetically pleasing to my ears but I would want it to resonate to them as well. I get nervous if I know I’m performing without my vocals being 100% do to me being sick or something previously.
  3. Who has been the most inspirational person you met in Atlanta? The new version of me. I never knew I had all of this talent , Fire , Boss etc within me until I was forced to display it with little to no help. Atlanta moves  fast and it’s something I needed to get my feet off the ground. I’m doing things I never really did back home or really didn’t have to do, things so little such as creating content, moving around in circles alone , networking etc.
  4. Would you venture out into other genres of music? Yes I would venture out and create music in other genres.
