Elevation Worship Brings Music, Hope and Special Moments to St. Jude Families

Award-winning contemporary Christian worship band Elevation Worship recently made its first visit to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, spending the day bringing music, encouragement, and meaningful moments to patients and their families.

During the visit, band members connected with families through conversations and creative activities, including making friendship bracelets and decorating trucker hats. The group also hosted an intimate acoustic performance that featured a particularly touching moment when one St. Jude patient joined the band to sing, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.

“Spending time at St. Jude was really special for us,” said lead singer Christopher Brown. “You can feel the hope here, and getting to meet some of the patients and families and see their joy and strength firsthand was something we won’t forget. We’re really grateful we got to be there.”

The band extended its generosity beyond the hospital visit, inviting several St. Jude families to attend its Memphis concert later that evening. By gifting the families tickets, Elevation Worship gave them an opportunity to enjoy a night of live music and create lasting memories together.

For families navigating childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, moments of connection and normalcy can carry special meaning. Elevation Worship’s visit offered more than an acoustic performance, creating opportunities for patients and loved ones to share joy, express themselves through music, and step away from the demands of treatment, even if just for a little while.

Through its time at St. Jude, Elevation Worship demonstrated the powerful role music and human connection can play in uplifting families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
