Kiamo’s 3rd Annual Back 2 School Drive Brings Passaic Community Together

The spirit of community was on full display yesterday in Passaic, New Jersey, as Kiamo’s 3rd Annual Back 2 School Drive brought children, parents, local businesses, young entrepreneurs, and volunteers together for an afternoon centered around giving back.

Hosted at Rack N Roll, the annual Back 2 School Drive provided local families with school supplies and bookbags while creating an atmosphere filled with fun, creativity, and opportunity. Children were able to receive supplies to help prepare them for the upcoming school year, gift cards to enjoy the arcade at Rack N Roll, and participate in creative activities such as painting canvases & free haircuts at Love Cuts.

The event featured support from several local businesses and community partners, including Dela Isla, District 36, Rhylee Lemonade, Bodega Kidz, James Terr, Canvas n Company, The Cypher Room, Love Cuts, Rack N Roll, and many dedicated volunteers who helped make the day possible.

Beyond providing school supplies, this year’s event also highlighted something especially important: the power of youth entrepreneurship and opportunity. Young business owners Rhylee Lemonadeand Bodega Kidz were able to showcase their businesses and demonstrate to other young people that entrepreneurship, creativity, and leadership can start at any age.

For the families who attended, the event was about much more than backpacks and supplies. It was about creating positive memories, bringing people together, and reminding children that their community believes in them.

The smiles on the faces of the children and their parents were priceless. From kids enjoying the arcade and painting activities to families receiving items they can use for the school year, the day reflected what can happen when local businesses, volunteers, and community members come together with a shared purpose.

Now in its third year, Kiamo’s Back 2 School Drive continues to grow into an annual tradition focused on giving back to Passaic and investing in the people who call the city home.

As the new school year approaches, the message behind the event remains simple: when a community comes together, everybody has the opportunity to win.

Kiamo’s 3rd Annual Back 2 School Drive was more than an event—it was a celebration of community, youth, entrepreneurship, and giving back.
