Young M.A Returns With Long-Awaited New Album ‘KWEEN’

Young M.A is officially back.

After years of singles, freestyles, personal setbacks, and fan anticipation, the Brooklyn rapper released her new album KWEEN on Friday, marking her first full-length project since 2021’s Off the Yak and her first major album rollout in years.

Across 15 tracks, Young M.A sounds focused, reenergized, and determined to remind listeners why she became one of New York’s most respected lyricists in the first place. The album includes appearances from G Herbo, Tory Lanez, and Kavi Synatra while continuing the raw, street-centered style that helped build her fanbase.

The title itself carries deeper meaning.

Reportedly, KWEEN combines the words “king” and “queen,” a concept Young M.A has referenced throughout her career and through her charitable KWEENZ Foundation. The title also reflects the balance of confidence, masculinity, femininity, and individuality that has always made her stand out in hip-hop.

Leading into the release, Young M.A built momentum through a series of freestyles including “FDO” while teasing fans with snippets, visuals, and a Northeast album release run surrounding the project.

After public health concerns, personal growth, and a quieter period away from the spotlight, fans are simply excited to see Young M.A back in album mode and fully locked in again.
