Latto Gets Personal on New Album ‘Big Mama’

Latto is officially stepping into a new chapter with the release of her fourth studio album, Big Mama.

Released Friday through RCA Records and Streamcut, the 17-track project arrives as Latto’s most personal body of work yet, blending motherhood, relationships, confidence, vulnerability, and her signature Southern rap energy into one album.

The project features an impressive lineup including 21 Savage, Doja Cat, GloRilla, Wizkid, Sexyy Red, Mariah The Scientist, Jelly Roll, Teyana Taylor, and Odeal. Fans immediately began debating standout records, lyrics, and collaborations across X and Instagram shortly after the album dropped.

But beyond the features, many listeners are focused on how personal the album feels.

Throughout Big Mama, Latto addresses motherhood, her evolving relationship with 21 Savage, internet rumors, fame, and major life changes following the birth of her daughter. The album also confirms that the couple welcomed a baby girl together, something fans had heavily speculated about for months.

The release caps off a rollout that began in March when Latto revealed both her pregnancy and the album through her “Business & Personal (Intro)” video. Since then, she’s leaned fully into the “Big Mama” era, turning one of the biggest moments of her personal life into the centerpiece of the project.

Some fans are even calling the album her most mature release to date, while others continue debating bars that appear to address industry tensions and online criticism.

One thing is clear, though:

Latto made sure Big Mama gave people plenty to talk about.
