Sorisa Elevates His Sound With “Melody I Can Finish”

At just 17 years old, Sorisa is quickly proving he’s one of the most exciting young artists emerging from Canada’s evolving alternative music scene. The Toronto native is continuing his rapid ascent with the release of his latest single, “Melody I Can Finish,” a vibrant new record that showcases both his creative growth and expanding artistic confidence.

Released through Atlantic Records, the track marks a major milestone for the rising artist, becoming the first release fully written, produced, and composed entirely by Sorisa himself. The self-produced approach gives listeners an even deeper look into the artistic world he continues building — one rooted in emotional storytelling, electrifying production, and genre-blending creativity.

The release arrives alongside an official music video that further captures the colorful and chaotic energy surrounding Sorisa’s growing movement. Earlier this month, fans also got an early preview of “Melody I Can Finish” during his breakout performance at Rolling Loud Orlando, where the young artist jumped directly into the crowd and moshed alongside fans during the performance, instantly creating one of the more memorable moments of his set.

The single follows the release of his debut EP, I Love Colours, a project that helped establish Sorisa’s unique sound by blending electronic, alternative, pop, hyperpop, and melodic hip-hop influences into one emotionally charged experience. Tracks like “11 Days Ago,” “Get Used To Me,” and “Can We Talk” introduced listeners to his ability to pair atmospheric synth-driven production with deeply expressive vocals and youthful vulnerability.

The momentum surrounding Sorisa continues growing rapidly. Recently named one of Billboard’s “10 Rising Canadian Acts to Watch in 2026,” the teenager has already begun building an impressive live resume with sold-out headline performances in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles. Upcoming appearances at Toronto’s FIFA Fan Festival™ and First Class Fest are expected to push his visibility even further throughout the summer.

Before becoming Sorisa, the artist originally began uploading music online under the name “brokeboyhappy,” slowly developing a cult following through platforms like SoundCloud. After eventually adopting the name Sorisa — inspired by the Spanish word “sonrisa,” meaning “smile” — his music began connecting with a wider audience through records like “La,” “Go,” and breakout fan favorite “U Look So Good in Fall.”

Now surpassing over 1.5 million Spotify streams and continuing to attract attention from outlets like Billboard and CBC, Sorisa is quickly becoming one of the new faces helping redefine modern electropop and alternative youth culture.

With “Melody I Can Finish,” Sorisa isn’t just showing potential anymore — he’s showing artistic evolution, creative independence, and the type of fearless energy that continues separating him from the crowd.
