Steven Hayes Jr., the former manager of Chicago rap artist G Herbo, has officially pleaded guilty in a federal fraud conspiracy case tied to stolen credit cards and luxury purchases.
According to federal prosecutors, Hayes admitted involvement in a scheme that allegedly used stolen credit card information and fraudulent identification to fund expensive trips, private jet charters, designer goods, luxury accommodations, and other high-end purchases connected to members of G Herbo’s circle.
The case originally gained national attention back in 2020 after federal authorities accused multiple individuals of participating in a multi-year fraud operation that allegedly financed lavish lifestyles often displayed online and throughout the music industry.
Hayes’ guilty plea reportedly includes conspiracy charges tied to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Prosecutors claim the fraudulent activity involved stolen payment information used across several states for travel, shopping, and entertainment expenses.
G Herbo himself previously resolved his own portion of the federal case in 2023 after pleading guilty to making false statements to federal agents. The rapper ultimately received probation, financial penalties, and community service as part of that resolution.
Now, Hayes’ plea marks another major development in the long-running investigation that once became one of hip-hop’s most talked-about federal cases.
