$9 Million Worth of Cocaine Found Hidden Inside Shipment of Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Underwear

A major drug bust tied to SKIMS is making headlines after authorities discovered millions of dollars worth of cocaine hidden inside a shipment of the company’s clothing.

According to reports, Polish truck driver Jakub Jan Konkel was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison after investigators found nearly 200 pounds of cocaine concealed inside a specially modified compartment of a truck carrying legitimate SKIMS merchandise into the United Kingdom. Authorities estimate the drugs carried a street value between $8.4 and $9.4 million.

And honestly, the story sounds straight out of a movie.

Officials say the truck was transporting 28 pallets of authentic SKIMS underwear and clothing from the Netherlands when Border Force officers stopped the vehicle at the Port of Harwich in Essex. After inspecting the trailer, authorities discovered dozens of hidden cocaine packages tucked into secret compartments built into the rear trailer doors.

Investigators later revealed Konkel admitted to smuggling the drugs in exchange for a payment reportedly worth around $5,000. Authorities also stated organized crime groups frequently use legitimate commercial shipments to move narcotics across borders without raising suspicion.

As the story spread online, many social media users were shocked seeing Kim Kardashian’s billion-dollar shapewear brand attached to the case.

However, officials were quick to clarify that neither SKIMS nor the clothing suppliers connected to the shipment had any involvement in the smuggling operation. SKIMS also released a statement to TMZ distancing itself completely from the crime.
