Yung Miami spent the weekend giving back to her community in a major way.
The Miami rapper teamed up with local leaders in Miami Gardens to host her “Spend Dat Gas Giveaway,” helping more than 250 South Florida drivers fill their tanks for free as gas prices continue rising across the state. The event took place Sunday at a Murphy USA gas station on Northwest Second Avenue and quickly drew long lines from residents hoping for relief at the pump.
And honestly, the timing couldn’t have been better.
With Florida gas prices reportedly climbing above $4 per gallon, many families attending the event described the giveaway as a real financial blessing during a difficult economic stretch.
The event was organized through Yung Miami’s “Caresha Gives” initiative alongside Miami Gardens Councilman Reggie Leon and Nana’s House Behavioral Health. But the giveaway went beyond just free gas.
Twenty-five local mothers were also surprised with $200 Walmart shopping sprees following the event.
Yung Miami spoke directly about wanting to help working families, especially as a mother herself.
“Gas is so high right now… it’s important to give back,” she said during the event.
Social media reactions to the giveaway were overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the rapper for using her platform to directly support the community instead of simply making appearances online.
Yung Miami shared a clip from the giveaway on her Instagram account. Check it out below.
