A man accused of stealing unreleased material connected to Beyoncé has officially accepted a plea deal just before his trial was set to begin.
According to reports, Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty to charges including criminal trespass and entering an automobile in connection to the 2025 theft case tied to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta. Evans reportedly received a five-year sentence, with two years to be served in prison and the remaining time on probation.
The case drew major attention after prosecutors alleged Evans stole two suitcases and multiple hard drives from a Jeep being used by members of Beyoncé’s touring team, including her choreographer and one of her dancers.
And the contents reportedly went far beyond personal belongings.
Authorities said the stolen hard drives allegedly contained unreleased Beyoncé music, concert footage, production materials, and setlists connected to the tour. Surveillance footage shown in court reportedly captured Evans parking beside the vehicle, looking inside, and later removing the items.
Despite the plea agreement, reports state the missing material has still not been recovered. Some fans feel the five-year sentence is not enough.
