Chris Brown found his name back in headlines Friday, but this time, it had nothing to do with music.

According to TMZ, shots were fired outside his Tarzana home Friday afternoon, prompting a police response around 4 PM. Reports say a woman called authorities claiming a man fired at her vehicle during an altercation in the area.

When officers arrived, both sides shared their version of what happened. The male suspect allegedly told police the situation escalated after the woman refused to leave and then drove over his foot, leading him to fire at the car.

Here’s where things shift.

Law enforcement confirmed the weapon used wasn’t a traditional firearm, but a CO2-style weapon. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.

Chris Brown, however, was not involved.

Officials made it clear the incident happened on the street outside the property, not inside the home, and there’s no indication Breezy was even there at the time.
