Marshawn Lynch Brings Oakland to Life in New Graphic Novel BEAST MODE 510

When Oakland calls, Beast Mode answers—and this time, it’s not on the football field. NFL legend Marshawn Lynch is stepping into a new arena with BEAST MODE 510, a bold graphic novel that transforms his iconic persona into a larger-than-life comic book hero rooted in the culture and community of Oakland.

Announced by AWA Studios, the 120+ page project is conceptualized by Axel Alonso and written by NAACP Image Award-nominated author Sheldon Allen, with legendary comic artist Denys Cowan bringing the story to life visually. Together, the team builds a cinematic and unapologetically Oakland narrative that blends action, humor, and social commentary.

At its core, BEAST MODE 510 is a love letter to “The Town.” The story follows Beast Mode as a streetwise fixer and freelance sleuth—someone who handles problems others won’t touch. No contracts. No invoices. Just results. But what begins as a simple, personal mission quickly spirals into a wild, globe-spanning conspiracy involving missing women, Silicon Valley corruption, international assassins, and powerful forces threatening the community he’s sworn to protect.

The graphic novel captures the essence of Lynch’s real-life mentality—cool, calculated, and laid-back until it’s time to turn up. When pushed, Beast Mode becomes an unstoppable force, mirroring the same relentless energy that made Lynch a Super Bowl champion and cultural icon.

More than just action and spectacle, the project reflects Lynch’s deep connection to Oakland. The city isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a living, breathing character woven into every page. That authenticity is what sets BEAST MODE 510 apart, grounding its mythic storytelling in real-life culture, loyalty, and community.

With additional contributions from top-tier creatives like Chris Sotomayor, Dexter Vines, and Rahzzah, the book assembles a powerhouse team that elevates Lynch’s vision into a full-fledged storytelling universe.

Set to release October 6, BEAST MODE 510 marks a new chapter in Marshawn Lynch’s ever-expanding legacy—one that continues to bridge sports, entertainment, and culture. From the gridiron to graphic novels, Beast Mode isn’t just a mindset—it’s a movement.
