From rocking college parties to spinning alongside hip-hop legends, DJ Alamo has spent decades cementing his legacy as both a tastemaker and culture builder. Now, the Brooklyn-born, South Jersey–raised DJ steps into a new chapter with the release of his latest single, “Set Me Free,” featuring Philadelphia rap icon Freeway.
Known as “The General” and “Da Ambassador,” Alamo has always been more than a DJ—he’s a brand architect, a connector, and a mentor. Over the years, he’s provided the soundtrack for artists like Jay-Z, Jadakiss, 50 Cent, Keyshia Cole, and Gillie Da Kid, while simultaneously giving rising talent a platform through his leadership at Coalition DJs Philly Chapter.
With “Set Me Free,” Alamo proves his ear for impactful music is sharper than ever. Pairing Freeway’s unmistakable flow with a beat designed to move both hearts and speakers, the track is a reminder of hip-hop’s power to inspire resilience and liberation.
Beyond the booth, Alamo continues to make an impact through 3G Entertainment and his non-profit #TeamAlamo, bridging music, community, and culture. His accolades—from Mixtape DJ of the Year at the Philly Hip Hop Awards to tour DJ for Million Dollars Worth of Game—speak to his unmatched consistency.
