President Joe Biden has officially granted clemency to Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, co-founder of the notorious Black Mafia Family
President Joe Biden has officially granted clemency to Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, co-founder of the notorious Black Mafia Family (BMF), according to 11 Alive.
Flenory, along with his brother Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, was originally sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for his role in orchestrating an international drug trafficking operation. In 2020, Terry Flenory was released early as part of a pandemic-related initiative, transitioning to house arrest to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Now, thanks to Biden’s broader effort to pardon individuals placed on home confinement during the pandemic, Flenory’s sentence has been officially commuted.
Flenory took to Instagram to celebrate the news, sharing images of his clemency papers and a video of him cutting off his house arrest ankle monitor.
“It’s been a journey, but prayer and unwavering faith beyond mere human comprehension got us to this point,” Flenory wrote, reflecting on his path to freedom.
