Today, rising R&B superstar, Honey Bxby debuts her new single “Bonnie & Clyde” featuring Brooklyn drill aficionado, Fivio Foreign.
The melodic mid-tempo serves as a heartfelt dedication from Honey to her lover, who is living a dangerous lifestyle of crime. The ride-or-die anthem pays homage to the classic Hip-Hop and R&B-infused tales of the early 2000’s delivering both a nostalgic and fresh take on the theme of soulmates, who are bonded together by love and illegal activities. The music video for the single takes on a similar story as Honey and Fivio can be seen running from the police in a high-speed chase throughout the streets of New York City in the suspenseful visual directed by Rock Davis, who has previously crafted videos for the likes of Lil Durk and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
“Bonnie & Clyde” is the latest addition to Honey Bxby’s music journey that includes her viral hit, “Touchin’”. Quickly becoming an east coast staple, the song has garnered high praises from the likes of the legendary Mary J. Blige as well as secured an official remix from the iconic Busta Rhymes, a huge co-sign for the single that samples his classic record, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See”. Outside of these co-signs, the New Jersey native has also received critical acclaim from Billboard, VIBE, BET, Rated R&B, and UPROXX for her brash, yet soulful and romantically chaotic style of R&B. All this has helped her to receive her TV debut at the Soul Train Awards on the BET Amplified Stage in November 2023 and most recently, she was the only R&B artist to grace the stage at the prestigious HOT 97 Summer Jam last month.
With the unapologetic and heartfelt “Bonnie & Clyde”, Honey Bxby is poised to become the voice for this new generation of R&B listeners offering her real life and non-traditional perspective on the genre as only she can.
