BURNA BOY’S “HIGHER” EARNS THE BIGGEST STREAMING DEBUT FOR A SOLO SONG BY AN AFRICAN ARTIST ON SPOTIFY, SURPASSING HIS OWN HIT “CITY BOYS”

According to Chart Data, GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Burna Boy has once again made history with his latest single, “Higher.” The track has earned the biggest streaming debut for a solo African song in Spotify history, surpassing the record previously held by Burna Boy’s own hit “City Boys.”

The African Giant made his monumental return to London Stadium and a groundbreaking debut on the Pyramid Stage at the UK’s renowned Glastonbury Festival.

“Higher” is an inspirational new song aimed at elevating his hometown of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
