Peacock has unveiled a sneak peek at its forthcoming drama film, Bosco, which draws inspiration from a real-life prison-break narrative. The trailer, released on Thursday, January 11th, offers a tantalizing glimpse into the extraordinary tale of Quawntay “Bosco” Adams, who ingeniously breaks free from a maximum-security prison to witness the birth of his first child after serving a 35-year sentence for attempted marijuana possession. The movie is adapted from Adams’ book, “Chasin Freedum.”
Bosco stars Aubrey Joseph in the titular role, with Nikki Blonsky as Tammy, Tyrese Gibson as Tootie, Vivica A. Fox as Willa, Theo Rossi as Ramos, and Thomas Jane as Hunt. The film explores the remarkable escape of Quawntay “Bosco” Adams in 2006, who, under constant 24-hour surveillance in a federal maximum-security wing, orchestrates an ingenious plan to be present for the birth of his first child. His escape involves collaborating with a lonely Missouri woman he connects with through a personal ad.
Featuring original music from prominent hip-hop artists such as Snoop Dogg, French Montana, The Game, DDG and more, Bosco is produced by Evergreen Valley Productions and Fluke Studios. The film marks the directorial debut of Chilean American filmmaker Nicholas Manuel Pino.
