From December 19th to 21st, Athenaeum, a female-powered music management company based in Los Angeles, curated and hosted ‘Soundcheck,’ a transformative 3-day writing camp at the renowned 4U Studios in Atlanta. The camp brought together rising artists and seasoned music professionals, notably including Ray Vaughn (Artist – Top Dawg Entertainment) , Jai’Len Josey (Artist – Def Jam), Ben Reilly (Artist – AWAL), LB199X (Artist), A-Lex (Singer/Songwriter), Romano (Music Producer), Tiggi (Music Producer), and Dynamo Studios (music non-for-profit). This retreat aimed to explore the intersection between mental health and musical creativity, offering participating artists an immersive space to delve into their craft. Throughout the three days, attendees were encouraged to channel their artistic energies, fostering an environment conducive to creative expression. The event culminated in a celebratory gathering on December 21st where participants, having absorbed inspiration and collaborated intensively, commemorated their creative journey.

The media were treated to an insider’s tour of 4U Studios, showcasing the cutting-edge facilities and providing glimpses into the music production process.
