For 20 years we enjoyed a plethora of music from the urban legend also known as the King of the south. Know for his immaculate vocabulary, rapper Ti is no stranger to conservatism with a touch of street. We watched him evolve with the culture and be involved with the community. This year was a monumental year for the southern rapper as he has released a movie “DaPartments “ as well as built affordable housing in his community not far from where he grew up. But one of the biggest accolades happened on back to back nights in Atlanta at the Woodruff Art center.

Rapper TI Tip Harris gave us hit after hit in a stellar live performances with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The atmosphere screamed elegant and next level from beginning to end. Although TI Harris is from the westside of Atlanta singing stories of struggle hustle and survival, he is no stranger to the finer side of life. Ti has built a lifestyle of bumping shoulders with the who’s who of the entertainment industry while dress for politics or a party; Still staying  true to his roots of where he’s from. Bankhead- one of the roughest neighborhoods to survive in Atlanta and known to many as the birth place of so much culture in Atlanta.

Picture this, Mr Harris as he would say, expeditiously, being in attendance of a Mayoral Ball or even New York Fashion week, his tuxedo was prepared to sit at any professional table to formally introduce the king of the south. He gave us 3 different look.. an all black on black shirt and tux, the black and white but my favorite was the yellow black and white after the show. I love me a color pop and yellow was a great compliment to his complexion and style.

Accompanied with lots of family and friends , his artist, Young Dro, Mimi formally of lhhatl, and even Nuface was there on opening night. Mr Harris had the support of his lovely wife who was in attendance along with his children. However the highlight of the night was a featured performance from his newly discovered talented daughter Heiriss Harris. Ti touched us all with adding her to his set to perform Rihanna’s account of hit single “Live Your Life”.

On both nights she gave us star power, adorable fashion strong vocals and fearless attitude. My favorite moment was on night two. Heiress owned the stage while Ti moved out her way letting her take it over. He even put her jacket on her back as she seemingly caught the playas vibe. Her body language gave us the 90 R&b Mary J. With a touch of Harlem nights. If you was comfortable in the red theater chairs, you was sure to get up when Baby girl Harris entered the stage.

The show was rich and heartfelt from beginning to end. We was extremely impressed by all the details surrounding this event and all of Ti’ accomplishments in the hip hop culture. Can we really believe Rapping a hustler’s story could impact an entire generation making trap music a sub-genre of hip hop. Yes I said it! Trap music is not just an album or a style it’s a genre! This celebratory moment will serve as reference to the day the genre was born.

Known for his ability to articulate his thoughts and still representing the streetz, TI could easily retire and have a promising future in politics, as he has spoke out on many topic including but not limited to racism. But we need more music before he pass the torch to Heiress, and P. S. C. Is on the way, Featuring Mac Boney Dro and Tip. We look forward to 20 more years with T.I. Tip. Harris as his legacy continues though so many avenues of business ventures and talented children.
