Takeoff’s Father Joins $1M Wrongful Death Lawsuit

In recent developments, the father of the late rapper Takeoff from the renowned ATL trio Migos has entered the legal arena by joining the $1 million wrongful death civil lawsuit against Houston’s 810 Billiards & Bowling. Kenneth Ball, represented by attorney Brant J. Stogner, is now an Intervenor in the case, seeking compensation from the establishment where his son tragically lost his life last year.

Mr. Ball’s lawsuit encompasses a range of claims, including funeral expenses, psychological and psychiatric expenses, as well as the loss of advice, counsel, services, care, maintenance, and support. This legal action adds another layer to the ongoing legal battle surrounding Takeoff’s $26 million estate, now contested between his father and mother, Titiana Davenport.

Earlier on, Titiana Davenport had filed a lawsuit against the Houston bowling alley, citing inadequate security and alleging that the owners were aware of the establishment’s history of violent crimes prior to Takeoff’s murder. The incident in question occurred last November when the rapper was shot and killed outside 810 Billiards & Bowling. Subsequently, Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was arrested and charged on December 2, 2022, in connection with the rapper’s tragic murder. The legal proceedings surrounding this case continue to unfold, shedding light on the complex and contentious aftermath of Takeoff’s untimely death.
