French Montana, a three-time Grammy-nominated artist with diamond certification, humanitarian and entrepreneur, has released his latest single, “Okay,” with fellow renowned hip-hop artist, Lil Baby. This track is being featured on Montana’s upcoming mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5, the fifth and final chapter which will solidify his diamond status in the hip-hop industry, and will also include collaborations from several of the most influential names in the business. With twelve tracks, the mixtape is a dynamic musical journey between the two artists.
In the song, Montana, who was born in Morocco and immigrated to the Bronx with his mother at the age of 13, reflects on his own opulent lifestyle and the aspirations of many to achieve a similar lifestyle. He expresses his commitment to wealth with the line, “Only messing with the Benjamin’s,” and acknowledges the scrutiny that comes with fame and fortune with “Checking the plane for the contraband.” He also asserts his success story with the statement, “Came out the mud on my own.”
The music video for “Okay,” directed by Kid Art, was shot in a nearly abandoned parking garage, where only Montana and Baby’s cars are present.
